Dear Mr Renwick,
I have recently been asked to pay some fees for nfht.co.uk to the provider TSOHost and this has reminded me that I had to move nemaritimetrust.co.uk from them to another provider to counter the misinformation that you were broadcasting on it. Your last post, if you care to remember was:-
Unfortunately our site has been almost destroyed by scamming, but we are trying to sort it out.
As you can see, certain nasty Trustees of Northumbrian Fishing Heritage Trust (NFHT) have deleted some of our precious content. Pathetic, isn’t it!
However, this disgraceful act has pointed NEMT in the direction of rebuilding our now outdated website, which we hope will soon be active.
Thank you for your patience.
May I remind you that I had been excluded from the administration of nemaritimetrust.co.uk, by your actions, for some time prior to mid-March and would not have been able to make any deletions, while the content referring to NFHT was being deleted.
On June 18th this year you wrote to me and 6 others: Peter Weightman, Richard Branson, Paul Nicholson, David Parker, Kevin Lund and Dr Sue Griffiths.
Following a long series of objectionable email messaging and subsequent threats therein haven’t helped to improve this situation, but have simply made matters much worse.
I simply ask all at NFHT to make Mick Dawson see sense and transfer our nemaritimetrust.co.uk website back to NEMT where it belongs.
As ever, I’m always available to talk in an attempt to end with a satisfactory conclusion.
Unfortunatly until that happens NEMT will not be in a position to discuss any future NFHT collaboration or plan vessel repairs on these premises.
Alec Renwick. NEMT Trustee and Chair.
Both you and I know there was not a long series of objectionable email messaging and definitely no threat unless you consider my objection to your proposal to write off what was owed to its sister organisation, the NFHT, to be one.
You also know that nemaritimetrust.co.uk is not yours and anyone reading this will see that it is you that have threatened its sister organisation unless you were handed the means to broadcast misinformation/misrepresentation again.
That is not going to happen on my watch and I suggest that as well apologising to me for wrongly calling me a thief, you make the facilities, available not only to your members but also available to those members of NEMT who are also members of NFHT.
If you disagree with any of the content this email you may use either my Hotmail one or mick.dawson@nemaritimetrust.co.uk to let me know.
Regards
Mick Dawson
What I call ‘The Fleet’, Rachel Douglas, Favourite etc., is an obvious asset and so are the lifeboats but they, apart from the Henry Frederick Swan (HFS) are in the care of South Tyneside Council.
Although the HFS served the RNLI off the Tyne for many years she was built by Saunders -Roe in Cowes on the Isle of Wight and is not in any way part of the boat the tradition of building boats on the North East Coast.
A cuckcoo in the nest perhaps.
