Northumbrian Fisheries Heritage Trust
Registered Charity No – 1135295
The main emphasis is on the care, maintenance and restoration of wooden vessels.
Until about five years ago many of its pages could be found on this site but nearly all were removed by the Chair of the North East Maritime Trust when he had been given some editorial rights to nemaritimetrust.co.uk. The rights were promptly removed when it was discovered what he had been doing but there was little concern in this quarter because I had started to develop a site which was more concerned with the history of the vessels rather than the practicalities of restoring them and this became nfht.co.uk.
It has now been taken down at the request of the Trustees of NFHT and because the history of the likes of Peggy, Rachel Douglas, Favourite and others should be put back onto this Website.
