1. The website was created and maintained by me, Mick Dawson until the Spring of 2024 when Mr Renwick commandeered, or using his term, hijacked it in the Spring of 2024 by claiming that the site was his when he spoke to one of TSOHost’s Agents. When I asked for it to be returned to its rightful owner my request was declined and I was told by one of their correspondents that I needed to talk to the Chair of NEMT and get his agreement before any action could be taken.
2. Talking to Mr Renwick about the nemaritimetrust.co.uk would have been a complete waste of time as he had set up a website in October 2022 in direct competition the with the original which had been publishing posts since 2002 although it was not registered with Nominet until 2014.
He named his website the nemaritimetrust.org.uk and it currently appears to be somewhat out of date but no matter, it meant that between the pair of them, Martin @ Tsohost Support and Mr Renwick, they had left me with no other choice than to move my site, nemaritimetrust.co.uk, to a new provider.
3. After accusing the owner of hijacking his own site Mr Renwick goes on to claim that the site was being used to disseminate incorrect information which in the case of nemaritimetrust.co.uk was simply not true until Mr Renwick gained control of the site on or before March 15th 2024 and made a post. Whether it bordered on slander was immaterial.
4. The owner of nemaritimetrust.co.uk, Mick Dawson, never left NEMT many years ago so it appears that Mr Renwick must be confusing him with someone who did leave under a cloud of rancour and suspicion many years ago and one must wonder who it was as it was plainly not me.
5. The site that one sees today is now being used to counter the personal attacks on its author’s i.e. Mick Dawson’s integrity, as well as reporting what goes on in Wapping Street and it has become abundantly clear that NEMT has lost its moral compass and for that one can only blame that the self appointed Chair of the North East Maritime Trust Mr Alec Renwick.
