An agreement with Paul Gray, who was treasurer of NEMT at the time, meant that they would pay for the nemaritimetrust.co.uk while I would continue to maintain it as a backup to his Facebook pages. Paul appears to have left NEMT in 2019 and the posts have since been added to by others. It was when I discovered that its Chair had been deleting swaths of the nemaritimetrust.co.uk, effectively to alter the Trust’s history to the disadvantage of the NFHT that I saw action was needed.
The NFHT folded in the Autumn 2024 and started a new life as Northumbrian Fishing Heritage on 17 September 2024 and by June 2025 the funds that had been the NFHT’s had been transferred over to the new charity.
Since the death of the Chair of NEMT in March 2020 the posts on the nemaritimetrust.co.uk, have been mainly devoted to challenging the false accusations of the Chairman who replaced him although some of the work done by North East Maritime Trust does get mentioned by reference to the Newsletters published by the Chair.

There was no mention of any Gremlin by the Chairman in his 2025 Newsletter and it appears that he was beginning to believe his own lies about the member of NEMT who had edited the website nemaritimetrust.co.uk since 2014. Take a look at his the introduction to the Newsletter of 2025:-
Headline News – As you may know, our original website has been hijacked by a former member and is being used to disseminate incorrect information sometimes bordering on slander.
This member left under a cloud of rancour and suspicion many years ago and his membership was rescinded.
