Dear All

As you will be aware the previously transferred to NEMT, owned and paid for nemaritimetrust.co.uk Website has been stolen by Mick Dawson who appears to have taken advantage of its unlocked status.
Mr Renwick first falsely accused me, Mick Dawson of the theft of nemaritimetrust.co.uk on April 12th/13th 2024. It had been registered with Nominet in my name, since May 2014.

This recently reestablished Website naming NFHT as a victim, is being used by Mick as a means of negative, damaging communication about NEMT, its Trustees and myself.
Mr Renwick had gained control of nemaritimetrust.co.uk by the simple deceit of persuading an Agent for the Website Provider, TSOHost, to replace its administrator, i.e. myself with himself and as I was unable to persuade TSOHost to correct the matter I was forced to switch providers and chose IONOS UK. Since May 2014 the site had attracted the attention of about 800,000 viewers and last week, 10th June 2025. the re-established site passed the 100.000 mark.

Continuing with this senseless, costly, illegal practice will only continue to damage both NFHT and NEMT organisations.
It was not senseless to regain control of my own website by the only step left open to me after Mr Renwick had used it to broadcast lies about my ‘supposed’ misconduct and that was to ask Nominet to switch Providers, it was not illegal and it was not Mr Renwick who was charged for this service. It was £10+vat.

I have tried to speak to Mick recently, only to be told “I should know why”
Well, I don’t!
We last met when NEMT failed to relaunch the Henry Frederick Swan from her winter quarters on 29th May 2024 and I told him to put what he wanted to say to me in writing. This was done so that what he was saying to or about to say about this long time serving member of NEMT could be broadcast to the Trustees of both NEMT and NFHT.

One reason I can only imagine, is that in an attempt to make NEMT more sustainable by increasing costs for the use of our facilities, NFHT appears to have taken this as a threat to its existence.
It appears that under his care, NEMT had sought to charge NFHT for material that had been inherited or acquired free of charge by the volunteers.

Following a long series of objectionable email messaging and subsequent threats therein haven’t helped to improve this situation, but have simply made matters much worse.
He may have received a long series of objectionable emails but he had received not one from myself. There were none and I challenge any of 6 others to whom Mr Renwick addressed his email of the 18th June 2024 to ask him for some evidence to back his claim that any were from me.

I simply ask all at NFHT to make Mick Dawson see sense and transfer our nemaritimetrust.co.uk website back to NEMT where it belongs.
It made no sense to me, to transfer nemaritimetrust.co.uk to back to his control because when he was given some editorial control of the site in 2010, he took the opportunity to remove its archive for the period September 2011 to December 2019. When I discovered what he had done, I demoted him from the editorial role to that of a subscriber.

As ever, I’m always available to talk in an attempt to end with a satisfactory conclusion.
There could never be a satisfactory conclusion while he was prepared to tell anyone within earshot, that nemaritimetrust.co.uk had been stolen from the Trust of which he was the Chair and that included Mr K Lund and Dr Susan Griffiths. I have drawn attention to these two Trustees because they backed him at the meeting of April 30th 2024 where it was decided to strip me of my membership of NEMT for which no reason was given.

Unfortunatly until that happens NEMT will not be in a position to discuss any future NFHT collaboration or plan vessel repairs on these premises.

There, in black and white was the threat that unless I handed control of nemaritimetrust.co.uk over to him, he would deprive the NFHT the use of the slipway and workshop, the use of which had been shared by both Trusts for the best part of two decades.

Less than six months later it appeared that the Trust’s members made Mr Renwick see sense regarding the use of the NEMT Facilities because the threat was nullified and NEMT took Golden Gleam into their workshop in the first week or so of 2025.
