while he did not make me the administrator of the website again, he had taken the precaution to remove chockerbloc, Alec Renwick, as its administrator so that no more misinformation could be put onto a website that was never his and an incident was raised on my behalf saying:-

I believe this may be tied to the other account owner that you mentioned during our chat and it would be best if you tried sorting the issue out with them.
The only way to regain access to the WordPress admin page would be to get in touch with the owner of the account where the domain is registered.

But the damage to nemaritimetrust.co.uk and my reputation had already been done and as there was no way Mr Renwick would allow me to regain access to my own domain and website, I took the decision to move it to temporary home on another website, which was with TSOHost in preparation for the creation of the site that one can see today.

In late 2024 I remembered that nemaritime2020@gmail.com was often given when one wished to raise an issue with NEMT and I chided Mr Renwick by quoting back to him, his last post made on nemaritimetrust.co.uk before I had to transfer my site to a new provider:-

Unfortunately our site has been almost destroyed by scamming, but we are trying to sort it out.
As you can see, certain nasty Trustees of Northumbrian Fishing Heritage Trust (NFHT) have deleted some of our precious content. Pathetic, isn’t it!
However, this disgraceful act has pointed NEMT in the direction of rebuilding our now outdated website, which we hope will soon be active.
Thank you for your patience.

I had omitted to record his post’s date but it must have been made by him before the site was moved away from TSOHost in April 2024.

In Mr Renwick’s Headline News, Spring 2025, he goes on to suggest the current website is being used to disseminate incorrect information sometimes bordering on slander, and here I can reasonably claim that he was being economical with the truth again because I know that he cannot back up his claim about my giving out of incorrect information, by providing even one example.

One may well say that I am being a bit picky, but I think he means libellous rather than slanderous and I can confirm that we have not spoken since I asked him to put any requests to discuss NEMT business with me in writing when we met on Sunday the 7th April 2024.

He had began to accuse me of making slanderous accusations as long ago as January 2023 after I had requested that he send me a copy the November AGM minutes:-

Dear Mr Dawson,

In reference to you request for the November minutes.
There is currently a concern about the accuracy of the transcript.
As is usual minutes cannot be made public until agreed and approved by the board of directors.
Further to your slanderous accusations.
Please supply the evidence you use to form these beliefs.
Please be aware that should any more deflamatory allegations be made we will take advice with a view to legal action.

Yours sincerely
A Renwick.
NEMT Chairman.

  1. Mick Dawson says:

It was soon after the Chairman of NEMT posted his opinion of the Trustees of the Northumbrian Fisheries Heritage Trust on offered to resign his Trusteeship the NFHT and it was gratefully was accepted which left this ex-Trustee free to comment appropiately on the conduct of NEMT’s Chair.

Re resignation letter:- a look-up on nfht.co.uk will reveal that the site no longer has any content and therefore contains no references to either NEMT or NFHT.
