Royal Diadem II

Appears under both NEMT Boats and Other Boats because like Rachel Douglas, Favourite, Sovereign and Peggy, she came under the care of NFHT when she had first been restored:-

NEMT now appear to have claimed ownership of her and it would be interesting to compare the rates charged to put her on the slipway for the removal of weed and a fresh coat of antifouling etc. with what NFHT have to pay for a similar scrub down and repaint for Peggy, a boat of similar size after they had been refused access to the only slipway in the North East by the current chair of NEMT, Alec Renwick.

I had no contact with him from 2011 until he returned from his travels in 2018 and then no direct contact with him until late in 2019 when he requested access to the website that I had managed since it was registered in 2014, nemaritimetrust.co.uk and that request was granted on the 3rd of December 2019.

I heard nothing more from him until he let others and I know of the death of the Chair of NEMT, on the day after, the 31st March 2020, and I thought to post the notice of his passing away on the website and although the notice was not posted, I discovered that all the references to the charity NFHT and the boats for which it was responsible had gone.

As he had started using an email circulation list to broadcast misinformation, I removed his access to the site as an administrator so that no more damage could be done to it and anyway he could use his circulation list to let us all know of the funeral arrangements etc.

His subsequent actions regarding the site nemaritimetrust.co.uk have only confirmed my suspicions that the removal of all references to NFHT and the vessels they cared for, from the pages and posts on the site, up to December 2019 was no accident.

Things had degenerated since then, to such an extent that on June the 18th this year, he made a threat that if I did not make him a gift of the ownership of the domain nemaritimetrust.co.uk he would deny access to the only suitable slipway on the North East Coast for tasks a simple as scrubbing and re-coating with antifouling any of the vessels in the care of the NFHT:-

I simply ask all at NFHT to make Mick Dawson see sense and transfer our nemaritimetrust.co.uk website back to NEMT where it belongs.
As ever, I’m always available to talk in an attempt to end with a satisfactory conclusion. Unfortunatly until that happens NEMT will not be in a position to discuss any future NFHT collaboration or plan vessel repairs on these premises.

He knew as well as I did, that the domain belonged neither to NEMT nor himself but to me and while I have never been a trustee of NEMT, I had resigned my Trusteeship of NFHT in April after the correspondence that arose from an email he had written on the 15th March where he had falsely accused the Chair of NFHT sending out unauthorised mail:-

Mr Weightman
It is apparent that you, presumably acting for (NFHT), have sent an unauthorised personal letter to NEMT members which contravenes data protection laws and your previous position as Secretary of this Trust.

Also, he claims the ownership of the domain nemaritimetrust.co.uk for himself (NEMT), so that he can falsely accuse me of scamming my own website:-

I also notice that Mick Dawson (NFHT) has conspired to scam our website with similar unauthorised data, blocking any input from NEMT.

  1. Mick Dawson says:

The NEMT Summer Newsletter referred at the top of the second page is a copy with no watermarks and a simplified and is easily downloaded as it is 150k in size. The copy of the NEMT Summer Newsletter that was originally downloaded was 9mb and considered unnecessarily oversize.
