Subject: NEMT Website
Dear All
As you will be aware the previously transferred to NEMT, owned and paid for
nemaritimetrust.co.uk Website has been stolen by Mick Dawson1 who appears to have taken advantage of its unlocked status.
This recently reestablished Website naming NFHT as a victim, is being used by Mick as a means of negative, damaging communication about NEMT, its Trustees and myself.
1 – a complex set of lies, the site was secure and therefore not unlocked and had always belonged to Mick Dawson since it was created over 10 years ago and not by Mr Renwick nor any other NEMT Trustee;
Continuing with this senseless, costly, illegal practice will only continue to damage both NFHT and NEMT organisations.
I have tried to speak to Mick recently, only to be told “I should know why” 2
Well, I don’t!
2 – when he asked to speak with me, he was simply told to write and when he asked ‘why’ he was ignored because I needed him to put any accusations in writing and we now have a written record of the misinformation he wished to broadcast;
One reason I can only imagine, is that in an attempt to make NEMT more sustainable
This recently re-established Website naming NFHT as a victim 3, is being used by Mick as a means of negative, damaging communication about NEMT, its Trustees and myself.
3 – NEMT were accused of withholding funds from NFHT in early 2023, justly as it turned out because following the accusation, the debt to NFHT was promptly paid;
Continuing with this senseless, costly, illegal practice 4 will only continue to by increasing costs for the use of our facilities, NFHT appears to have taken this as a threat to its existence.
4 – illegal practice? Mr Renwick appears to defending his right to charge different rates for the use of the facilities of the workshop and slipway depending on when the vessels had been restored by NEMT and not on whether they needed attention. The divide occurred about the time the lifeboat Henry Frederick Swan was lifted back onto the water in 2019 and taken onto the slipway;
Following a long series of objectionable email messaging and subsequent threats therein haven’t helped to improve this situation, but have simply made matters much worse. 5
5 – Two lies, there is not even one objectionable email message from me and as far as I know from any former Trustee of NFHT either and to add that there was a long series of them is a gross misrepresentation of the truth and to accuse others and I of making threats appears to have been made to shift the blame for the increase in distrust between the two Trusts from himself onto me;
I simply ask all at NFHT to make Mick Dawson see sense and transfer our nemaritimetrust.co.uk website back to NEMT where it belongs. 6
As ever, I’m always available to talk in an attempt to end with a satisfactory conclusion. 7
Unfortunately until that happens NEMT will not be in a position to discuss any future NFHT Collaboration or plan vessel repairs on these premises. 8
6 – the website never belonged to NEMT;
7 –there could never be a satisfactory conclusion. When I, the owner of nemaritimetrust.co.uk, moved back to Amble from Tyneside in 2017, I thought it made sense to hand the bulk of editorial control to its Chair but as soon as I became aware that most of the activities both NEMT and NFHT working well together had been deliberately removed from the site I realised that I had made a big mistake in giving any editorial rights to Mr Renwick and removed them;
A year os so later he managed to take absolute control of the website nemaritimetrust.co.uk in the Spring of 2024 by giving misinformation to the site’s provider TSOHost and as long as I am not a member of his exclusive Facebook Group I can only guess at the volume of misinformation or misrepresentations presented the Agent of TSOHost in 2024 and to his faithful followers since then;
8 – it appears that from June 2024 the vessels previously restored by the NEMT membership and now cared for by the NFHT would no longer have any access to the only suitable slipway on the North East Coast of England for any sort of maintenance at all.

There is much wrong with his email of nearly 18 Months ago and to keep this comment short I will just call him for the false accusation “Following a long series of objectionable email messaging and subsequent threats therein haven’t helped to improve this situation, but have simply made matters much worse.”
There were never any objectionable email messages from me certainly no threats and I suggest that the current NEMT Trustees simply ask him to produce some evidence to back his claim that I am to blame for the current situation and see what he says.
The comment of the 7th was made about fifth point raised in my critism of his email sent to 7 NEMT members besides myself on the 18th June 2024, the reason being that it could be raised in about 100 words. It will require a whole new post to explain the set of complex lies raised in the first point.
