His response to my request for the minutes of the AGM was worrying on two counts. I had heard that they were being rewritten by someone who was not even at the November meeting and on a personal level, it was the first time in my life that I had ever been accused, in writing anyway, of making slanderous accusations by anyone.

Leaving the slanderous/libellous argument aside, this letter/email has been published to point out that I did not leave the North East Maritime Trust under a cloud of rancour and suspicion many years ago as he broadcast in his Newsletter of April 2025. I was expelled as a result of a decision taken at a meeting on April 30th 2024, by himself, Mr K Lund and Dr S Griffiths to nullify my membership and on the 8th of July 2024 I received the following notification from him:-

Micheal,
You will have received a recorded delivery letter regarding the immediate deletion of your NEMT membership.
Please acknowledge receipt of this email.

I did not acknowledge his email because I had not received any recorded delivery letter from him and it appears that I was not the first member to be expelled by the NEMT Trustees because they disagreed with what had been done by Mr Renwick since he assumed the Chairmanship of NEMT.

They were Paul Gray, Phil Smith and Martin Wilson and while I have no idea why he fell out with Messrs Smith and Wilson but it seems that Mr Gray fell from favour because he would not hand https://www.facebook.com/henryfrederick.swan over to Mr Renwick, which on reflection was was well justified, see betraying trust on Page 1.

It appears that the other two Trustees, K Lund and S Griffiths were easily persuaded to turn a blind eye to the simple truth by believing the misinformation/misrepresentation presented to them by the current Chair of NEMT. His email of the 8th July, says more about his conduct than anything I have said or done with regard to either Trust, for nearly two decades.

He had prepared the ground for his onslaught on my integrity a few weeks earlier by accusing me, amongst other things, of the theft of my own website by myself on the 18th June 2024:-

Dear All As you will be aware the previously transferred to NEMT, owned and paid for nemaritimetrust.co.uk Website has been stolen by Mick Dawson who appears to have taken advantage of its unlocked status.

I had been maintaining the Website on behalf of the North East Maritime Trust for a good number of years without complaint and about 10 years ago they agreed to pay its yearly fee and left me looking after it because the membership had taken to using Social Media to advertise events and report on what was going on in the Workshop and slipway, see URL for FaceBook/Henry Frederick Swan Nemtnews on X, and a later site which has restricted viewing North East Maritime Trust on Facebook.

I went down to watch the annual exit of the Henry Frederick Swan from her winter quarters on Saturday the 26th, missed it and assumed correctly that she was on her way to her Summer Mooring in NE1 Marina under the command of the Chairman of NEMT which was a bit annoying as I had wanted to question him about the volume misinformation he had published over the last two years, particularly, within his ‘Headline News’ in his last two Newsletters.

I noticed that Peggy, the Coble that been put back into sail by me with help from Fred Crowell was not on her moorings and I also saw Richard, a Trustee of NFHT but I did not wish to spoil his day so I simply went home to rewrite the letter that I had sent out on Thursday the 24th April and this is
