This is a rewrite of the commentary on ‘NEMT News’, first first posted on December 1st, 2023. It was about the misinformation being produced by the Chairman of NEMT to hide the fact that under his direction the website nemaritimetrust.co.uk had almost been lost:-

North East Maritime Trust, established in 2005 to keep alive traditional boat building and repair skills.
Which begs the question, “What had the North East Maritime Trust been doing to preserve those skills between 2005 and 2020?
The answer to that question could be found in the early days from, the News Letters produced by various Members and then both them and this site, nemaritimetrust.co.uk, from about 2008. From 2015 to 2019 the equivalent N ews was mainly given, with its inherent shortcomings, by Social Media.

Apologies, but our http://nemaritimetrust.co.uk website has unexpectedly stopped working. We hope to have it up and running again soon. We will also update the site and include links to our new, more appropriate .org.uk Web address.
The nemaritimetrust.co.uk was not working because the subscription which was due for renewal in late 2023 had not been paid. The provider TSOHost closed access to the site until it was paid and I know from experience, that Providers or Hosts like TSOHost, keep a complete backup for a limited period until the subscription is paid. While nemaritimetrust.co.uk was shut down I posted half a dozen photographs/webpages, from my own records, with WordPress so that everything was not lost *.

We are happy to say that our original Website is up and running again after some hard work, fixing of scammers, etc, and inevitable costs involved.
Our new and more appropriate org.uk Website will soon be available.
There were no scammers to ‘fix’ but it appears that the subscription was not promptly renewed and it looks like NEMT had to pay for nemaritimetrust.co.uk to be recovered and I can confirm it was up and running by the 15th of December because I took the trouble to extract details from its archived pages to create completely separate website for NFHT *. Nemaritimetrust.co.uk was a site, developed by me about a decade and a half ago, in an attempt to keep an accurate record of what the two Trusts were doing to preserve the Maritime Heritage of the North East Coast.

Yes, it has happened again, this time to our website!
All because a previous, now rogue member didn’t like the incredible progress we are making at NEMT. Some people just can’t handle change.
Therefore, we hope our new website above will be up and running very soon.
It was never his or NEMT’s website and saying it was theirs was another bit of misinformation from NEMT’s Chair.
In October 2020 I had given him editorial rights to my site but he had betrayed my trust by deleting most of the posts: 2011 to 2019 and so the permission to allow him to edit the site was taken from him in early 2021.
Some time between December 2023 and the following March he gained complete control of nemaritimetrust.co.uk by giving misinformation to one of TSOHost’s agents and asking her to replace me with himself as the Administrator. When he said ‘a previous rogue member’ he was being economical with the truth. This supposed rogue member had asked Nominet to move nemaritimetrust.co.uk in April 2024 to another provider because so that he could regain control of his website again.

* www.nfht.co.uk is no longer in the public domain. It was taken down at the request of the other Trustees when I resigned my Trusteeship of the NFHT and it was accepted in April 2024.
Nfhtcouk.wordpress.com should be about the Northumbria not the Northumbrian Fisheries Trust and is currently been corrected with the Charities Commission which needs a change of the Registration Number from 1135295 to 1210068
