NEMT – Sea Cadets’ Boat

Mr Renwick goes on to say in his Headline News that I had “left under a cloud of rancour and suspicion many years ago and his membership was rescinded but in fact I had not left and I was still a member in April 2024 when he took the decision to remove my membership because I had seen right through him.

In the same Newsletter in 2025 he goes on to say:-

We are pleased to say that an agreement has eventually been reached with Northumbrian Fishing Heritage (NFH), formally NFHT, to have the coble Golden Gleam in our main workshop for extensive repairs. This welcome agreement also helps to cover our revenue costs. Initially for 6 months, then in July she will be transported by whatever means into the Boatshed for completion. This work is being done jointly with NFH and NEMT volunteers.

So for six months he will be charging the Northumbrian Fishing Heritage (NFH), formally the NFHT for work done by a set of volunteers. Please note he was being deceitful when he said that the work was being done jointly because any member of NFHT had to be a member of NEMT because of the Trust’s rules. Before Mr Renwick took over NEMT in mid 2020 it mattered more about the work that needed doing on a historic vessel rather than who owned her.

The ownership of a vessel was not always a NEMT’s officers main consideration but one has to go back to April 2016 to see a time before Mr Renwick’s return from foreign parts to see the change the NEMT’s priorities.

That is rather a long read so I have shown the table spread over pages six and seven to give one a quick idea that the Henry Frederick Swan is only one and not the oldest of 11 boats registered Nationally.
