October 23rd – A reminder

Dear NEMT Member

October the 23rd, 2024 was a significant date in the dispute between your Chairman, Mr Renwick and myself about ownership of domain nemaritimetrust.co.uk which began in 2020 when I allowed him some editorial control of the site and he abused my trust 1, by deleting many of the posts that referred to the work done by NEMT on restoring the vessels of North East’s fishing fleet that were owned by the membership from its early days in 2005.

I protested in 2023 that it was fraudulent for NEMT to withhold funds from its sister trust the NFHT and over £10,000 was duly paid later that year but my dispute with the Chairman came to a head with his claim made on 15th March 2024 to a former Chairman, Mr P Weightman and the trustees of both NEMT and NFHT, that I had blocked his access to my site. An extract from CandCR-18-March-25:-

I also notice that Mick Dawson (NFHT) has conspired to scam our website with similar unauthorised data, blocking any input from NEMT.
An attempt to remove his acces from our website about two years ago has obviously been circumvented, these actions must be removed immediately.

Neither of these statements are true, firstly the website nemaritimetrust.co.uk, never belonged him nor any other member of NEMT and it had been running under my care for well over ten years by 2024.
Secondly, his second statement is a complete inversion of the truth.

Coincidentally I realised that he gained total control of nemaritimetrust.co.uk in 2024 by telling the provider, TSOHost, that the site was his and that I was not a member of NEMT.

As I said in my in my introduction, above, I discovered five years ago that he had removed much of the site by deleting posts that referred the two Trusts NEMT and NFHT working in harmony to preserve what remained of traditional fishing fleet of the North East Coast:-

NEMT in carrying on the work started by Fred Crowell in repairing and making the boats such as the Rachel Douglas and the Coble Peggy seaworthy.
Then NFHT looking after them once they had been restored.

Much of this has been made in my posts since April 2024 but the significance of the date of the 23rd October should not be underestimated as it was the deadline for Mr Renwick to provide proof to Nominet that I had stolen the website from him and there weren’t any 2.

I could not publish this yesterday because as my internet had been taken down because of a misunderstanding but I got round this by a visit to the local library today 3. Your Chairman will tell you that that I am no longer a member of NEMT and all I ask of you is to ask him to provide a copy of a letter or an email of my resignation from NEMT and see if he has anything to say.

Kind regards
Michael Dawson

* 1 – when the disappearance of most of posts of NEMT and NFHT working in harmony was spotted I believed it could be put down to Mr Renwick’s incompetence but when he later said things like:-
Headline News – As you may know, our original website has been hijacked by a former member and is being used to disseminate incorrect information sometimes bordering on slander. This member left under a cloud of rancour and suspicion many years ago and his membership was rescinded.
One could see that the posts had been removed deliberately.
2 – please see https://nemaritimetrust.co.uk/drs26876-offer-of-mediation/
3 – my local library does not open on a Thursday.
