He had gained control by misinforming the guide from TSOHost and I naively thought that they would make amends undoing the change but no, it would have shown how a provider could make changes to a website without its domain name owner knowing and they got round this by telling me that I needed to resolve the issue with Mr Renwick before they would make any changes:-
I have also checked the IP address where the domain is pointing to, and that is not on any of your hosting packages. I believe this may be tied to the other account owner that you mentioned during our chat and it would be best if you tried sorting the issue out with them.
In retrospect, it looks like the Guide, not Martin but the one before, had no right to make the changes without my permission, shades of the Post Office Scandal where the accounts of the Post Office Managers were being edited without their knowledge and that left me with no choice but ask Nominet to switch providers which they did willingly once I had provided them with evidence that I was the actually the owner of the domain nemaritimetrust.co.uk. The address on my current bank statement matched the address of the owner of the domain and neither were 2-3 Wapping St, South Shields.
I knew that as soon as switch had been completed the site would disappear completely and while I was not able to edit anything that Mr Renwick had left, I was able copy some of what remained into a temporary site which sat within theharbourview.co.uk, NEMT and NFHT (theharbourview.co.uk)
TSOHost would have discovered within hours of the switch that the new provider was Ionos but it was nearly four months with an upgrade to some software that it was confirmed that they were in fact handling nemaritimetrust.co.uk on my behalf. As one can see the upgrade of cpanel for theharbourview.co.uk was fine but the advised me that they would keep a copy of the remnants of the what was left of nemaritimetrust.co.uk for a month.
I had switched providers because chockerblock i.e. Mr Renwick had replaced me as the administrator of nemaritimetrust.co.uk and I had no desire to overwrite my temporary site with him as the administrator as I had already rescued what I could from the remnants of the site. By then the temporary site had had some 200 visits so I decided it would be beneficial to my cause to see that it was kept.
Mr Renwick, was by then, up the creek without a paddle and like many corrupt managers before him, had thought that by rewriting the history of his organisation of which he was Chair he could put many of his misdeeds out of sight. In the case of the two Trusts he could hide the fact that the members of two both charities had worked together with the same aims:- Repairing and Restoring Traditional Fishing Boats of the North East of England, from 2010 when NFHT gained charitable status, to 2019.
NEMT had gained charitable status in 2007 though members of it had been restoring vessels like Rachel Douglas, Favourite and Sovereign for a good many years before that and one must not forget the cobles like, Golden Gleam, Peggy and Royal Diadem II and was it soon realised that a separate Trust would be needed to maintain the preserved fleet, hence the birth of NFHT three years later.
I had not wished to trouble TSOHost about nemaritimetrust.co.uk because I held another site with them which dealt dealing with corruption by Senior Managers of South Tyneside Council in which they had also sought to hide bad planning and management decisions by rewriting history. In the ten years or so years I have had had no trouble with it or TSOHost but there again I had not been dealing with the likes of Mr Renwick.
