The Trusts: 2010 – March 2024

There was very little I could do because I had not taken care to back up or take a copy of the nemaritimetrust.co.uk for some years and while I should have learnt a lesson but it became difficult to make a backup because by then I had passed the costs of maintaining the site to NEMT while retaining control of what was being written to it and I repeat, it was not a problem.

In 2023 the Chair of NEMT, Mr A Renwick, became evasive about letting me have a copy of the minutes of the AGM which I attended in March 2023 and I discovered later that its author, Mr K Lund had been asked rewrite them. He was not present at the AGM and they included, in any other business under the second item, an outright lie because I did not speak at the meeting:-

M Dawson raised a question about why NEMT couldn’t pay NFHT an assumed debt owing “due to NEMT having over £48.000 in the bank” in reply, the Chairman pointed out that the accounts quite clearly state that his assumption was incorrect and that a payment was soon to be agreed with NFHT anyway.

I had attended the meeting as an observer rather than as a Member and had said nothing and one will have to ask Mr A Renwick why he wished for the minutes of that AGM to be changed. I was aware that funds arising from gift of a pair of flats in Newcastle was not being shared equally between the two trusts mentioned and my fears of what he was doing aroused so much mistrust in me, that later in 2023, I requested the host of nemaritimetrust.co.uk to change some details to make it more secure.

My caution was justified because in March this year, I discovered that I was simply locked out of a website that I had maintained for over ten years. Mr A Renwick had regained control when he persuaded one of TSOHost’s Guides to make him, chockerblock, the administrator of the site and the first thing that he did was to remove me from its administration which I did not discover until I tried to access the site on March 15th 2024.
