Listening to a two faced Mr Farage attempting to divert attention from one of his former aides describing the Conservative Party leader Kemi Badenoch as a “Nigerian scammer” on the BBC News on the morning of the 27th October 2026, I was reminded that Mr Alec Renwick had unjustly accused me of making defamatory allegations against him in 2023 to deflect the fact that after consulting a legal firm the debt to its sister Trust was paid 1.
What I had done on January 6th 2023, was to suggest to Mr Renwick, as the acting Chair of NEMT that he would do well not to associate with any those who claimed that that NEMT did not owe the NFHT anything from Gordon Brown’s Legacy.
Why the other signatories wish to keep what is rightfully the NFHT’s is shameful to say the least and you would do well not to associate yourself with such criminal activity.
A gross simplification but however one reads my email to Alec Renwick and its attachment, ‘Objection to proposed fraud by the charity – NEMT’ it is very clear that I think that one or two and possibly more of NEMT’s Trustees were behaving much like a bunch of Farage supporters and I concluded:-
This is a written objection and whether one calls the arbitrary cancellation of a debt embezzlement, misappropriation or theft, it is still a criminal offence.
My exchange with Mr Renwick first appeared as in public as one of the posts in the nemaritimetrust.co.uk website as ‘Development of a Fraud’ in January 2023. That post and the ones following show that my view that Alec Renwick was no better than fraudster, was sound. I would like to comment at this point that one could not be a member of NFHT if one was not a member of NEMT but I do not know if this rule still applies to NFHT’s successor, the Northumbria Fishing Heritage which replaced the NFHT in September 2024.
What I can confirm was that the acting Chair of NEMT was being two faced or hypocritical when on January the 7th 20232 when first he told me not to use his personal mailbox, alec.renwick@gmail.com then 9 minutes broadcast to 7 NEMT members not including myself, the lie that I was sending him more than one aggressive and personalised emails to him.

1 – If I had been making slanderous accusations against him, the North East Maritime Trust would not have been instructed to pay the Northumbrian Fishing Heritage Trust what they owed them in 2023.
2. on January the 6th 2023, he had falsely accused me of making slanderous accusations but these were changed on January 7th at 20:49 to more aggressive, personalised emails when he broadcast more misinformation about me to 7 members of NEMT.
